The Town of Hamlin invites the public to participate in the update and development of our Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP). This plan is being prepared to identify issues and opportunities concerning our local waterfront areas and to identify potential projects and policies that will protect and enhance these locations. We have received a grant from NYS to update our plan, with anticipation that this will lead to funding for future maintenance and improvement projects through the NYS LWRP program. We are inviting the public to provide input regarding issues and opportunities related to environmental concerns and economic development around the Lake Ontario Shoreline region and upland areas.
Due to ongoing COVID 19 concerns, we will be having a “drop in” style meeting on Wednesday May 19th at Hamlin Beach State Park, Pavilion #3. It will be held between the hours of 1-3pm and 5-7pm. These two sessions will be formatted to encourage one-on-one discussions with the committee. We will spread maps and visuals around the room to allow for social distancing. If anyone is interested in participating but is uncomfortable showing up at the public meeting, we will be posting information and providing opportunities for online feedback through our project website: HamlinLWRP.org
