WIND TOWERS This page is dedicated to news and information regarding the possible development of large-scale wind-energy generation systems in the Town of Hamlin NEWS ITEMS Wind Tower Regulations Annulled In his decision dated January 5, 2009, NYS Supreme Court Justice David Michael Barry annulled the Local Wind Law. As a result, the Town reverted back to the regulations which were previously in effect. Under those regulations, land owners are permitted to construct, with a building permit, residential wind tower not exceeding 50 feet in height (from base to tip of blade extended). The Town is considering its options in regards to the Judge’s decision.
