THE EXTRA MILE AWARD

What is the Extra Mile Award (EMA): The EMA is a program that encourages the Town of Hamlin residents to submit letters notifying the Community Assets Committee of area residents that have displayed an act of kindness of any measure. Parma currently has this program in place and .the City of Rochester has a similar program called "Do the Right Thing".

Who is eligible to apply: This program is designed specifically for the Town of Hamlin residents. All age levels, including adults and seniors are encouraged to apply and are qualified to submit their prospective EMA recipient.

How to enter: Submit in writing the name, address and telephone number of the person(s) you wish to enter for this award. Include two paragraphs as to why you feel this person(s) should receive this award. Include your name, address and telephone number.

Send Information to: Hamlin Recreation, 1658 Lake Rd., Hamlin, NY 14464. Telephone number 964-7222. Upon selection, a Certificate of Achievement will be issued at the following Town Board Meeting. Notification wilt be sent to the area newspapers.
