Note: It is not necessary to renew the Basic STAR Exemption unless you have moved to a new property or have exceeded the $500,000 income limit in a given year. Seniors (64 or older) and not exceeding must renew the Enhance STAR Exemption annually. Any current Senior Enhance STAR Exemption recipient that requires a renewal form will be mailed the necessary renewal form each year.

NEW: For 2011 and thereafter, anyone exceeding $500,000 total income in a given year will not be eligible for the Basic STAR Exemption. Seniors (64 or older) exceeding $79,050 total income will not be eligible for the Enhance STAR Exemption.
